It's Been a Busy and Exciting Week!

We've had an exciting and full week here in Pittsburgh and the Gatto house.
My husband and I started by celebrating our anniversary this weekend. We did our once a year grand buffet and time at the casino. The same night was game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The Pens were playing in Nashville. We were up 3-2 in the series. One to go.
I hadn't been feeling so well, so I was going to stay home while my husband took our son to the viewing party at the PPG Paints Arena. I decided at the last minute to go. I was scared and excited that our Pens would win the Cup that night.
The energy in the arena was electric. You wouldn't have known that there was no team on the ice and we were only watching a super-sized television! It was so loud that we were unable to hear any of the commentary or cheers/jeers from the Nashville crowd. I tried to do some live feeds on Facebook and Instagram, but I have no idea how to work that stuff! So who knows if they actually worked! LOL.
A nervous excitement fell over the loudly cheering Pittsburgh crowd as we scored late in the game, and cemented our back to back championship. It is something special, because not many teams have done that.
Anyways, I'm rambling! Haha. After celebrating, and a little traffic, we went right out to Dick's Sporting Goods to buy hats and t-shirts. WHY WOULD WE DO THAT??? Lol! The checkout line wrapped around the entire store, and about an hour and a half later we had our Stanley Cup stuff and were on our way home. Only to stay up longer to watch all the tv highlights and interviews.
Busy and exciting...and that was only Sunday!
Monday we recovered, and Tuesday I helped my Grandma while the dog went to the vet to get fixed (like Bob Barker always said - Spay and Neuter your pets!). Needless to say she wasn't real pleased with us...
Wednesday we spent the day celebrating with every other person in Pittsburgh with the Penguins and the Stanley Cup at the parade.
Thursday, it was finally the day that BLINDSIDED went LIVE!! I've been waiting for you to read this one. I was part of a couple Facebook parties that night to help other authors celebrate as well as advertise BLINDSIDED.

And next week is my birthday!
Busy busy busy!
Now I'll be trying to get some writing done since there's no hockey to watch. Boo. I hate that part of summer - hockey withdrawal. I won't lie, I do get grumpy! lol. Luc's story had been put on the back burner lately with so much going on (ie playoff hockey, last few weeks of kiddo's classes, my new responsibility of helping with Grandma, and life in general) it has been hard to come home and turn on writer-mode. :( I'm just too tired at that point!
But with it now being summer, I plan to try to make some time for my Renegades!

Make sure to check out my Facebook Reader's Group - Renegades Ice Crew. (There's a link on the right side. It's a cool #GrayAndYellow logo - Renegades colors.)
I love to hear what my readers think, and you never know, I just might use your suggestions!
