Yes, I'm a Pumpkin Spice Girl

Yes, I am a Pumpkin Spice Latte kinda girl. But I am not the typical stereotype people like to make fun of. (I also don't get why so many make fun of people who like Pumpkin Spice?)

I don't drink them because it is the "IN" thing to do. I drink them because I like them. I'm not even sure how to be "ironic" like the youth of today like to say (see how old I am? lol) I just like to be happy, and PSL make me happy.

I look forward to the fall flavor dropping every year, and the fact that it comes out in September is just a bonus. I get to enjoy the delicious-ness of the dessert style drink while it is practically still summertime! (two of my favorite things)

But you won't find me wrapped in a scarf, wearing a sweater and calf high boots while I'm enjoying my PSL. I don't do sweaters, ever (I'm typically hot), and I prefer flip flops or tennis shoes over anything else. I like leggings, but not because they are stylish. I wear them for comfort, lol.

But I like my Pumpkin Spice Lattes because they taste like pumpkin pie in a cup. I enjoy pumpkin muffins too. And let's be honest, when you drink the same flavor coffee over and over for eight months, you are more than ready for a delicious new flavor! I am very picky about my flavored coffee and only drink Iced Mochas the rest of the year, and just last month I was so tired of them. So the PSL is a welcome change! And PSL time also means that soon we will see the other fall flavors.

I keep writing to Starbucks suggesting that they need a "Christmas Cookie" flavor, but I guess they don't feel the same way. I think I'll see if Gloria Jean happens to have one this year - because doesn't that sound like an awesome coffee flavor???

So, next time you see me posting about my PSL, remember this... unlike the typical meme you see online, I am sitting over here in shorts and flip flops drinking my Iced PSL, there's not a plaid scarf or calf high boots in sight.

Who needs geography? Apparently I do.

If you got one of the early copies of Lattes & Slapshots, I feel a need to apologize for something. Somehow a blunder on my part slipped past the editor.
I said Idaho was in the Midwest (because in my mind, that's where it is - seriously.) I am terrible at Geography. I am no world traveler, and haven't ventured outside my East coast.
I'm sick over it getting all the way to print, and I apologize for anyone that it bothered. My bad...I even looked up Idaho to find out things about the area.
For some reason, my mind thinks Idaho potatoes = the Midwest.

Thanks for understanding. I'm going to go crawl back under my rock, lol.

Did you know?

Did you know that I write two very different types of Romances? My Renegades Series is Spicy & Sweet Sports Romance. Lots of spice heati...
